Building Networks for Canadian Neutron Scattering
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Neutrons@Mac, both in person and over the web. You can find presentation slides from the meeting posted under the Schedule menu. We look forward to seeing you in Hamilton again soon.
We would like to invite you to participate in a one-day neutron scattering workshop to be held at McMaster University on May 17, 2018. The goal of this workshop is to bring together members of the Canadian neutron scattering community to discuss several issues of shared importance. Among the issues we hope to discuss are:
- Updates on the status of the Canadian Neutron Initiative and the Canadian Neutron Beam Centre at Chalk River
- Ideas for potential upgrades to the neutron scattering infrastructure at the McMaster Nuclear Reactor
- Strategies for potential Canadian investment in foreign neutron sources
- Coordination of neutron-oriented funding proposals for the upcoming CFI and NSERC funding cycles
A more detailed schedule and breakdown of meeting logistics will be posted on this site within the next few days. However, for planning purposes, if you are interested in attending this meeting (either in person or remotely via teleconference) we ask that you RSVP to [email protected] by April 30, 2018.
We look forward to seeing you in Hamilton,
Pat Clancy (McMaster)
Zin Tun (CNBC, NRC)
